Massage therapy

Massage therapy

Massage therapy makes you aware of what is going on in your body and mind. It teaches you to listen better to your body and the signals it gives you.

In massage therapy, we start with a question about something that is bothering you or getting in your way. Your question can be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual in nature. We work on your question together and explore it using various techniques and methods, such as relaxation, awareness, breathing, and movement exercises, (guided) meditations, yoga exercises, constellations, and, of course, massage.

What brings people to massage therapy?

  • “I have been through a difficult period and now want to focus on myself and my body again. How can I do that?”
  • “I am suffering from a burnout. How can I learn to relax and listen more closely to the signals my body is sending me?”
  • “How can I learn to think less and feel more?”
  • “Can you help me reconnect with my body?”
  • “I have physical complaints. How can I experience more space, energy, and lightness in my body?”
During an intake interview, I will discuss with you which issue you would like to work on. I will align your expectations and needs with you and indicate how we can shape the process. We will then determine the duration of the process, as well as the frequency of the sessions. Massage therapy can also complement treatment by a psychologist or psychotherapist.

Massage therapy can help with:

  • (Vague) fatigue symptoms
  • (Dealing with) stress and overload
  • Support during burnout
  • Recurring physical or emotional symptoms
  • Support during changes in life circumstances
  • Desire for more contact with one’s own body and inner experience
